Romanian Ambassador on RACC 20th Anniversary

"Dear Mark: I am particularly pleased to convey to you my sincerest congratulations on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the creation of the Romanian - American Chamber of Commerce (RACC).

This festive moment provides me with the opportanity to acknowledge your leading role in establishing, twenty years ago, this independent bilateral organization devoted to developing and fostering relations between the two countries. Moreover, I would like to congratulate you on your initiatives in the field of green energy investment opportunities and other activities that prove the capacity of the RACC to permanently adjust as business, commerce and technology have evolved with each passing decade.

Wishing you and the RACC many years ahead of success and accomplishments, I would like to reiterate the willingness of the Romanian Embassy and its staff to continue to cooperate with you on future projects.

Funds are destined for local authorities, for infrastructure, social or environment projects or for NGOs to consolidate the civil society Nazare told journalists.
VIDEO Protests at French Embassy to Bucharest against Rroma expulsions in France
"Liberty, equality, fraternity, gas and electricity! Stop Sarkozy!" So sounded the first slogans chanted by Rroma people protesting at the French Embassy to Bucharest on Monday. Some 60 Gypsy people urged the Romanian government to have a stand about "voluntary repatriations" organized by the French state. A youngster recently "teleported from France" was among the protesters and shared his own slice of the story: "Mister Sarko" had him parted from his French girlfriend. Upset about his expulsion, he showed up and joined the Monday protest at the French Embassy, where people wearing banners and T-shirts printed with Rroma slogans, with flowers, brought a rubbish bin and French products to throw away "under the scrutiny of the public eye".
